Happy Easter

Happy Easter beautiful readers, I love Easter and spring time, the pastel colours, beautiful spring time blooms and all the chocolate....any day that promotes the eating of chocolate all day is a good day in my dairy.

I thought I would share with some of Easter snaps.

I have been making chocolate filled hampers for my family this Easter. The shabby chic baskets are from Home bargains. I picked up the chocolate gradually from a few supermarkets when I saw things were on offer, I have been super organised this year.

Any excuse for milk and cookies, I would like to say I made this cute little bunny cookies but that would be a lie.

I picked up this adorable little chick shaped mug from Sainsbury's, I love it so much it's so cutee.

I have been filling up for hot cross buns for breakfast, what better way to start the day.

These lavender filled hares are from Clarabelle Interiors are beautifully handmade and are giving my living room a little spring time spruce.

My flower obsession is getting out of hand, my home is filled with lots of
beautiful blooms, but they look pretty and smell nice so that's ok..right?

Well that's it from me lovelies, I hope you all have a lovely Easter and eat lots of chocolate, one day off healthy eating is acceptable.

Spring Fashion Haul

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend, mine has mostly consisted of studying for my open university exams in a few weeks, socialising with friends and family, wedding planning and eating.

So, its been a jammed packed weekend...oh and some how I managed to fit in a spot of shopping, so I am treating you to a little fashion haul.

I didn't buy everything at once,  although it has been known in the past, but I am 'supposed' to be saving at the moment. Anyway  this is a collective haul of a few bits and bobs I have picked up over the last weeks in preparation for my holiday to Dubai next week.

Be prepared for lots of pastels and floral patterns coming your way.

These adorable floral dungarees were £9 from Primark. I saw them the other day in Primark and literally did a little gasp, ran and grabbed them, I just thought they looked so cute and pretty and I think they would go perfectly with a white shirt. Literally cant wait to wear these.

Sticking with the floral theme my next purchase from Primark was this lovely colourful floral shirt. Like the play suit above I just couldn't resit this, its a beautiful minty green shade which is my favourite colour to wear in the spring summer, it a collared shirt which I love and it has flowers, what more could a girl want. This cute shirt cost me £12.

Then I popped these light weight polka dot shorts in my basket. I love polka dots and again I would team this with a shirt or a peter pan collared top. For £5 I couldnt resist and I had to have them for my holiday.

Finally from Primark is this polka dot denim skater dress which cost £12. I love skater style dress they are really comfortable and easy to wear. Again more polka dots, I have worn this a few times already and really like this dress. I feel very Kate Middy in this.

Next up is a lovely blue summer dress from Topshop. I purchased this with a voucher I got for my birthday and I was inspired to buy this by Laura over at buy now blog later. This is a beautiful shade for summer. This dress is slightly too big for me so I would add a brown belt to give it some definition. I cant find this online at the moment but it cost £34.

Now I have a few bits from MissGuided which has quickly become my favourite online shop, there are so many pretty clothes I would love to add to my wardrobe, however I managed to resist and just get a few things.  The first thing I bought was this blue and white mini dress you can find it here. It was £19.99 and I love the pretty pattern on this dress.

Then I got this lemon yellow curve hem skirt, this would go really nicely with a white shirt or vest top. I don't own very much yellow clothing so I am really looking forward to brightening up my summer wardrobe. You can find this skirt here for £14.99.

So I have yet another pastel blue dress, can you see a trend going on in this haul. This blue and white contrast dress will be perfect for my holiday, whether is a day of shopping or a spot of lunch in the sunshine. This dress was a bargain at £19.99, I think dress looks much more then small price tag, there is somethung very Zara like about it, you can get yours here.

Finally from Miss guided is this lilac tailored coat, I have been desperate for a pastel coat for so long now and I instantly fell in love with this beautiful coat, and I got even more excited when I saw it was only £34, most of the long pastel coats I had seen were going to cost me upwards of £70 so for under half the price I was instantly sold, and well its just so pretty. Unfortunately the purple shade is currently out of stock but you can get it in pink or brown here, I am so tempted to purchase the pink shade too, but for now I will resist temptation.

Finally is a really sweet pale pink dress with a white collar from BooHoo. Remember what I was saying about collars? I am literally obsessed. This a great dress for a summer day or with black tights and ballerina pumps for a day in the office. I cant find the orginal dress on the boohoo website, but here is a very similar design.

So there you have it, my spring fashion haul, all ready for my summer holiday. Now I have snapped everything up I off to pack my suit case and hide my bank card somewhere to stop me spending. Wish me Luck.

Sunday Favourites

Ok it's 12:10 am so it's technically Monday but here are my Sunday favourites.

Me and Gary have probably had the laziest Sunday ever. I spent all day on the sofa watching films, drinking hot chocolate, nibbling on chocolate, reading Cosmo, watching the Kardashian's and Towie, double reality whammy, and yes I love them both please don't judge! I even managed to have two naps, that's right two I can't even remember the last time I did that, but now I am annoyingly wide awake so fool me.

Enough chit chat from me here are favourite pins and inspiration this week.

Style inspiration
I was doing my usual style inspiration searching and pinning when I came across this beauty. When it comes to personal style this is just me all over, preppy style, cute girly bow tie, collar, buttoned shirt and cardigan....I need this combo in my life.

Ring stacking
I am loving the stacked ring look at the moment. I have never been a huge necklace kind of girl so have always focused on the wrist and hand candy. I love the whole midi ring look and definitely want to build up my collection a little bit more.

The beach
I don't know about anyone else but I am so over winter weather, I need sunshine and spring time in life. With better weather comes days at the seaside.  I can't wait to get sand in my toes and dip my feet in the sea, wouldn't mind fitting some of these super cute pastel beach huts either.

Margot Robbie
I think I have a new girl crush, Margot Robbie. This women is beautiful and I am lusting over her style and beauty looks at the moment.

Daniel Wellington Watch
No I don't need any more watches, but I would very much like this one to add to my collection please?

Thanks for reading Beauts I hope you had a great weekend. Let me know some of your favourites of the week, I love reading your comments.

New Revlon Lip Butter shades

Juicy Papaya, Pink lemonade and Sorbet

Hi ladies, I hope your all looking forward to the Easter weekend and tucking into some chocolate eggs, I keep reminding my fiancé how much I love malteaser bunnies so hopefully he has got the hint :p.

Anyway  I will stop rambling, Spring is approaching and Revlon have launched four new lip butters as part of the Spring collection. The four shades are Wild watermelon, Juicy papaya, Pink lemonade and Sorbet.  I was so excited when I heard about these new shades, for anyone that doesn't know I am obsessed with the Revlon lip butters, they have been a staple in my make up bag ever since I got my hands on them. So I couldn't wait to try these new shades.

Very briefly for anyone who hasn't tried a lip butter before, they are advertised as a buttery balm. I personally think they are more in between being a balm or a lipstick with a shiny gloss finish( dependant on the shade). I love how hydrating and moisturised these leave my lips and how wearable these little beauties are.....as you can tell I am a fan.

Boots has the lip butters on the 3 for 2 offer, so of course I got 3, can you blame me? I decided to go for sorbet, pink Lemonade and juicy papaya. As lovely as the wild watermelon shade looked I decided against this one as I don't wear red shades very often, much more a pink girl. (although I do love the candy apple lip butter).

My favourite shade is sorbet, I love the bright vibrant shade of bright pink. This product is so pigmented and the colour pay of is amazing. I find this with a lot of the darker shades of the lip butters. This colour is so pretty I defiantly think I will be reaching for this colour day and night through out the summer.

The juicy papaya shade is a peachy coral colour, with pink tones. This shade is perfect for the Summer. the colour is build able, but not quite as bright as sorbet but, for anyone who doesn't like wearing bright, in your face colours but want to add a pop a colour to your every day look I would recommend this colour.
Finally the pink lemonade shade is a soft pink colour. This has quite a sheer finish its much lighter then some of the other pink shades available, but I love this colour I think it's a great everyday colour for spring and summer, and will look great with a tan, if the sun ever shows its face here in the UK. I am fan of all three shades they are all very wearable but build able to create different looks and they give a glossy sheen and soft finish to my lips.
Now I have to mention the packaging, I am sucker for good packaging and I think the packaging of these products is perfect. The quilted effect give it a very high end chanel look to the them, but the vibrant colours make them stand out and give them a feminine finish and look beautiful in any make up collection. My only negative with the lip butters is I find because of the buttery consistency they melt quite quickly, so not a product to be left in your car or bottom of hand bag. Saying that they are still my favourite affordable lip products at £7.99 each I have got my money worth out of all my lip butters.
Finally just thought I would share with you my lip butter collection...yes I know it's a lot but I love them. My favourite shades is strawberry shortcake, it's the perfect every day pink colour and tutti fruitti  which is a lovely coral shade. I did also own creme brûlée but I wasn't a huge fan of this so gave it to my sister who is much more tanned then me ( I am very jealous of her natural glow).

Pink lemonade, juicy papaya, sorbet, tutti fruitti, strawberry shortcake, cupcake, candy apple and sweet tart.

What do you think of the lip butters? Have you tried the new shades.

Make up spring clean

So yesterday I decided to have a clear out and de clutter of all my make up.....I hadn't quite anticipated how much of a task this would be......turns out I had a lot more make up then I thought oops. As I mentioned in my previous post I have recently got some new bedroom furniture to store my make up and beauty essentials.

So I decided this was the perfect time to sort through my make up. I was very strict with myself, if it was past its expiry date, hadn't been used in the last couple if months, or looked a little bit worse for wear it was going. Being the obsessive I am I also armed my self with disinfectant wipes to clean all the make up I was going to keep, as much of it had foundation or powder marks all over them.

So after clearing out three boxes and drawer I actually was quite brutal and threw half of my collection away, anything that was still in good condition and I just didn't used I am keeping to one side to give to give to family as its a shame to see it wasted. I couldn't believe the amount if stuff I found that had been forgotten about or hardly used. Most of these items were from before I had my own home to pay for and became the responsible adult i am now :p, and I was no where near as careful with my spending as i am now. Even though I still buy a lot of products now I don't impulse buy, I always do my make up research before buying.

So after hours of cleaning and sorting this what I was left with. To some people this might still look too much, but it will honestly be used.  I feel much better after having a clear out and clean up of my products, everything looks refreshed and new, and a de clutter always makes you feel better, even if half way through you regret starting. When I think I threw half of it away I am slightly horrified at the amount of money I have spent over the years but make up and beauty products are my vice and I love trying and testing new products and experimenting with new looks.

Primark Haul

Last week I went shopping and picked up some really nice bits from primark. I really enjoy primark hauls that other bloggers do, probably because Primark are one of the few shops without an online shop, so I am always interested to see what peices and items are on offer. So I thought I would share with you some of the clothes and accessories I found. Primark have just realised thier spring collection, and I was really impressed there was some really pretty peices. I saw a few dresses and shirts I liked but I managed to control my spending....well to some degree anyway.

I had been eyeing up this gorgeous gold/ bronze kimono since Christmas, but I just wasn't sure what I would wear it with, but this time I saw it had gone down to £10 so I could resist. There was a choice between white or gold. Even though the white kimono was very pretty, I just think the gold stands out more, and my wardrobe is full of blacks and whites so thought I should throw in a bit of colour. I think this will look really nice with disco pants or leggings and a black top.
The next item that caught my eye was this blue striped collared dress. I love the colour and the bow detail on the pockets. It was £10 which I think is a bargain. I think I will team this outfit with a jumper or cardigan till the weather improves. I defiantly think this might be in my suitcase when I go on my summer holiday too.
The next dress I found was this navy dress, I love the skater style skirt on this dress and find it very flattering. I actually wore this out on Friday night when me and Gary went out for some drinks. I accessorised the dress with a navy pin stripe blazer, brown shoes and rose gold jewellery. This dress was also £13, I think it is a great dress because it can be a day or evening dress.

This is the last dress I bought, I love how feminine this dress is. I think the bow print is really cute. Again this was £13 and I think it's really versatile and can be worn in a variety or ways.
I also managed to slip these beauties into my basket (which was getting rather full now). They were reduced in the sale from £10 to £6, so how could I not get them? I really like the peach colour of the shoes. I don't have anything like this in my shoe collection so I am very excited about adding these to my shoe shelf.
I also  got some earrings for my sister, she lives abroad and doesn't have a Primark, and she had been eyeing up some jewellery similar to this on her last trip home. So being the good sister I am I picked these up for her. For £1.50 a pair I think they are great.

Finally I treated myself to anew onsie. Now being the petite 5,1ft I am the adult onsies tend to drown me. So I decided to get a child's one in the hope that it will actually fit, and it was only £8 rather the £12 for an adult one. Now I know it's silly but I thought this bunny suit was sooo cute a looked so warm and snuggly. I am confident it will be well used.

So I spent a small fortune in primark, I plan to try avoid it for a couple of weeks, empahsis on the word try because I know deep down I wont. However I always manage to justify my spending in Primark because its very affordable and I can spend £60 but I have 5-6 outfits. So I can't complain.
