Pink Lemonade anyone?

So when we last spoke I promised you more regular blog posts.....I am a bad blogger and  I have been unable to keep this promise.

I have come to the realization that regular blogging while planning a DIY wedding is some what impossible. I come home from work most days and begin some kind of wedding related jobs be it cutting material or tying together pieces of bunting. Its safe to say its eating into my time much more than I anticipated ahind I am struggling to fit in anything non wedding related.

So today I make a new promise, I promise to blog when and where I can and will resume regular blog posts after my wedding. I also promise a blog post with lots of pictures from my wedding.

Anyway enough chit chat and rambles, this blog point does actually have a beauty related point....I promise.

Today I wanted to share a review of the 'Pink Lemonade' blush by three palette from Sleek. I bought this a few months ago after loving my first ever sleek blush so much I went back to Super Drug the following weekend and stocked up on blushes. However, in all the excitement i forgot to review it.

pink mint , Macaroon and  Icing sugar

I took this trio of pink blushes with me on holiday to Dubai back in May as it gave me enough blush options for 10 days in the sun and literally haven't been able to put it down since.

This sleek palette is made up of three blushes, two powder blushes and one cream blush. I love the cute desert themed names for each blushes, although it does make me want to eat cake.

The first shade is 'pink mint', this cool toned baby pink shade is my favourite and most used blush of the three shades. The hint of silver shimmer blended into the pink tone gives my cheeks a really pretty icy pink sheen. This shade can be applied very lightly to give you a pop of pink or built up for a dramatic finish. I personally like to apply a good amount of product but then blend it in with my foundation brush to give it a natural blended finish, but is still noticeable and gives me a pretty pop of colour without it being too frosty.

Macaroon is a creamy rosy mauve shade. The creamy consistency of this blush makes it incredibly easy to blend into the skin, leaving the cheeks with a beautiful natural flush of colour, which is great for an every day no make up, make up look. I have even used my fingers to blend this blush and I never ever using my fingers, but that just proves how easy it is too apply.

Finally icing sugar is a lovely coral rose shade with blended gold shimmer. I loved this when I had a tan as it completed my colour really nice and gave my cheeks a beautiful warm rose gold glow. Both the powder blushes are very well pigmented and a little goes a long way (true of all sleek blushes). I find I get a good 3-4 hours of wear with these blushes before I need a little touch up. However, even when the blush begins to wear off it does not go patchy or crease, it just fades slightly, so I still have a hint of colour.

I think the blush by three sets from Sleek are a great hand bag or travelling blush, giving you three versatile shades to pick from, the packaging is thin and compact so fits perfectly in your make up bag and it has a really good sized mirror which is perfect for on the go touch ups.

For £10 I really cant recommend this blush enough, I can see me adding more of these blush trios into my collection.

Have you tried pink lemonade? Or have you tried any of the other trios? I would love to hear your recommendations if you have.

Till next time beauts

Currently In Love With.....

Its about time I graced Emma Louise Dreams with a beauty post.

So today I wanted to share with you some of my current favourites out of my every day make up bag.

Don't they look pretty. I have missed beauty posts.....
Ok first up is Porefessional by Benefit, I have fallen back in love with this product after dabbling with other primers but nothing compares to this one, so of course its ended up back in my make up bag. I like to apply this under my make up to prep my skin and minimise my pores. Porefessional is a silky and light weight formula, its buttery textures blends into a creamy powder like finish which leaves my normally oily t-zone nice and matte. When I use porefessional my make up lasts longer and my pores magically disappear, don't you just love make up. The only down side to this little primer is the price, but you cant put a price on beauty, well at least that's what I like to tell myself to justify my ever growing make up collection.

Next up is 'Angel' by Mac, I have literally been reaching for this nude soft pink lipstick daily, its a great everyday shade for day or night. Angel is a frost formula which I normally avoid but angel is still very creamy and moisturising on the lips for a frost finish. Angel is a favourite lipstick of Kim K (or KW now) and I am not ashamed to admit I adore her make up so of course I had to add this to my rather large lipstick collection.

Next up is Bourjois cream blush in healthy glow. I adore these cream to powder potted blushes, they are so easily to blend, they leave the perfect amount of colour on the cheeks and they last all day. I love 'healthy glow' its the a beautiful peachy pink toned shade, perfect for the summer (if it ever stops raining). It really does give your cheeks a perfect healthy pinched glowing finish.

My next favourite is Mac 'Prep and Prime' highlighting pen in 'Light boost'. This product brings me back to the Kim K make up look I mentioned earlier, this product is my holy grail for brightening my under eye and highlighting my face, a la Kimmy. Light boost is literally one of my favourite products in my make collection...that's a big statement I know, but true. This little beauty, brightens, conceals and evens out my skin and it doesn't crease on me, which is a bonus. I use a real techniques stippling brush to blend this into my skin so I don't have any harsh lines. Love, love, love this product.

Finally is Mac 'face and Body foundation'. This a very light weight, watery formula that leaves your skin with a beautiful dewy glow. I personally love using this over the summer, I get little freckles around my nose when the sun makes an appearance and I like foundations that don't cover up my freckles completely because I like my little sun kisses.  This is the perfect foundation to give you a radiant glow, its basically a your skin but better foundation, and it can be built up to cover any imperfections. This was the only foundation I used while I was on holiday, I think this will be sticking in my make up bag till the end of summer (but lets not think about that too much).

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great weekend, I am off to a friends wedding this evening so I need to go decide what to wear....wish me luck.

MAC Soft and Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish

Today I want to share with you one of my favourite pieces in my makeup collection. Mac soft and gentle is one of the few products in my collection I would give the ‘Holy Grail’ title, even though I really dislike the term HG, I can think of no other label to give it that justifies just how much I love this mineralized skin finish from Mac.
‘Soft and Gentle’ is a finely milled shimmering high lighter powder from Mac, it’s an attractive soft 'gilded peach bronze' shade. This highlighter looks beautiful in the pan and transfers exquisitely onto the skin giving you glistening and soft champagne glow.
Now £22 may seem steep for a highlighter but as with all mineralize skin finishes from MAC there is a lot of product in the pan and a little really does go a long way, so I cant see myself having to repurchase this highlighter for a long time. So I personally don't mind the price tag at all.

I have found the trick with 'Soft and Gentle' is using the right tools. I have seen lots of reviews complaining that this highlighter just left glitter all over the face, and yes a large brush all over the cheeks is not the way to apply this one. Personally I have found the contour brush from real techniques is the perfect sized brush to apply just the right amount of product to give you a beautiful warm glow. I use this highlighter on my cheek bones, cupid's bow and brow bone to highlight and enhance my face and bone structure.  This highlighter can be used for a day and night look, I just use a very light hand for an everyday glow but build up the colour for a more dramatic glittering evening look. Sometimes I use this as an all over lid colour for a softer smokey eye if I am wearing a bright lip and I don't want to go too heavy on the eye make up. Can you tell this is a well used product in my collection?

I adore this mineralize skin finish its my go to highlighter to give my complexion an instant pick me up and radiant glow, its a permanent staple in my highlighting and contouring routine and cant imagine finding a highlighter that will replace it in my make up bag anytime soon.

Have you tried 'Soft and Gentle'? Or do you have a different mineralize skinfinish favourite from MAC?

What I Loved in March

Today I want to share with you some of the things I have been loving in March. I wont start with the usual 'Can you believe its nearly April, where did March go', but seriously where did March go?

This month I have a mixtures of beauty and non beauty favourites, sometimes its fun to mix things up a bit!

However lets start with the beauty favourites.

My first product I have been loving in Marching is the much hyped Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream, I did a full review of this little product here. In the interest of this post though to cut a long story short the CC Cream from Bourjois is a light but buidable formula which leaves the skin looking even and perfected, with a natural glowing finish, its basically your skin but better and I have been reaching for this everyday since I purchased it.

My next most loved product in the month of March, has been my Garnier Michellar cleansing water, again I did a full review of this here, but this is an extremely gentle yet effective cleanser which I use every morning and night, it has left my skin feeling clean, soft, smooth and hydrated. Its brilliant for removing my make up at the end of the day, and for £4.99 you get a lot of product, so no complaints from me and I will defintley be repurchasing.

Moving on to Soap and Glory who continue to impress me with their fun packaging and quirky product names but its what inside this hand food cream that is most impressing. Can you believe before this month I had never even tried this, even though so many bloggers recommended it, I know naughty blogger. However, when I finally did try it I fell in love with it and can appreciate why everyone told me to try it. I have been slathering this rich buttery cream all over my hands every night before bed and literally straight away my hands feel soft and moisturised without feeling greasy or oily. I also really like the sweet scent this leaves on my hands, but its not over powering or heavy. I will definitely do a full review of this soon for you, promise.

Next up is Sleek Pixie Pink blush, I have done a full review of this little blush here. I have been so impressed with this beautiful blush, the pigmentation and finish on the cheek is amazing for a high street product, very similar to Nar's blushes which is impressive for more then half the price. I love this pink shade it looks very bright in the pan but applied with a light hand this gives your cheeks a lovely pinched look, perfect for the spring!

Next up is Revlon Colorburst Laquer balm, I am working on a full review of both the matte and laquer balms, but the shade Demure is my favourite of the three I purchased. Demure is a natural pink blush shade with glitter particles, the formula inst too glittery, it just has the right amount of sparkle to give your lips a glossy finish. This particular shade has a sheer finish so is a great every day colour. These balms from Revlon are the perfect hand bag lip product because they are really easy to apply, I have managed to touch this up in the day without a mirror, now that is impressive.

My final beauty pick of the month is the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser, again you can read a full review here. There has been a lot of mixed reviews of this light weight gel primer, but personally I have really enjoyed using this on my skin before applying foundation. You only need a very light layer but baby skin minimizes my pore, calms redness on the skin and its a good long lasting base for my make up, and well its just so darn cute! What's not to love!

Now onto some books I purchased this month, I am a real book worm and love snuggling up with a good book. I have particularly been enjoying 'The New York Times, 36 hours, 125 weekend in Europe. Ok so that is quite a mouthful of title, but basically this book gives you a list of the best places to sight see, stay and eat in 125 places in Europe (if you hadn't guessed that). This book caught my eye because me and my other half are going on a little mini moon after our wedding, we aren't going on our honey moon till November, so we thought it would be nice to go away for a few days after the wedding and bought this to give us some inspiration. The book is great and has lots of ideas,  the only problem we have now got  to attempt to narrow it down to one place, do we go to Edinburgh or London? Paris or Rome? because we now have a long list of places we want to visit now thank to this amazing travel guide.

The next book is the delightful 'Love letters of Great men', any good sex and the city fan will have heard of this book. Now it could well be because I am getting married this summer so I am feeling the love but I have really enjoyed reading this book filled with romantic letters from male historical figures throughout the ages to their love ones, there is just something so romantic and charming about hand written letters, its a lovely and relaxing read.

Finally, I had to include some Easter chocolate, I am not normally a huge chocolate fan, maybe its because they are only available for part of the year but I love mini eggs and creme eggs. I have been trying to really limit my chocolate intake to once a week to make sure I fit in my wedding dress and keep my skin clear  so these are a lovely yummy sweet treat. I might do some easter baking soon and do a baking post, I bake all the time but I never remember to blog about it, thats my blogging goal for next month...baking post, dont let me forget lovely readers.

So thats it my March favourites, I would love to hear about what you have been loving this month.

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC cream

I have many foundations, in fact far too many! Its an addiction, I am always on the hunt for that perfect air brush finish base, my hunt will probably never end and I have a number of beautiful favorite foundations which tick all the boxes. Yet, I am still not satisfied, does any one else have this problem? just me?

Well over the last month or so I have fallen in love with a new base product...let me tell you more.

The Bourjois 123 Perfect CC cream has been hyped about in the blogging world and being the easily sold blogger I am I had to give it a try.

I will be totally honest I have never really understood the BB or CC obsession, its just a tinted moisturizer with a fancy name right? Well that was until now, oh my gosh I adore this CC cream. I purchased this in the shade rose beige for £10.99 from boots.

The Bourjois CC cream has three colour correcting pigments that smooth away imperfections, apricot pigments to combat anti fatigue, green pigmentation to get rid of redness and finally white pigment to banish dark spots. Sounds like a miracle formula for a base product.

This CC cream has a thin runny like consistency, I have been using my real techniques buffing brush to buff this into the skin, which I find blends really evenly into the skin. The consistency of this formula could definitely be blended in with fingers but if your a regular reader of my blog you will know I cant use my fingers to apply make up, its a germ thing.

Even though this is a light coverage base I was surprised how much it covered and perfected my skin. I get redness particularly around my cheeks and nose and this took away all the redness and dark circles under my eyes, it has good staying power and lasted a good 7 hours on my skin. I probably touched up with powder once in the middle of the day but this is quite normal for skin.

The CC cream left my skin perfected and even, leaving it looking fresh and awake with a natural and radiant glow. Its basically your skin but better.

This formula actually really reminds of  the ultra light Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation, which is probably one of my favorite foundations ever, I have probably gone through four bottles, so that's probably why I adore this CC cream so much.

I have literally used this CC cream everyday since I purchased it back in February and I can safely say I will be repurchasing again once this bottle runs out and I cant recommend it enough, seeing as my other foundations have sat unused and abandoned.

Have you tried the Bourjois 123 perfect CC, What do you think?

Thanks for reading beauts

Wish list

I am currently trying very, very hard to save my pennies, does anyone else find as soon as you decide to start saving you notice all the beautiful and pretty items you would like to blow your savings on. Well this is my current predicament so rather then spend I am going to share with you all what I am lusting after.

1. Nike air max trainers, in pink of course. My current thoughts if I have pretty pink trainers I will want to go to the gym more, that is what I keep telling myself.

2. Naked 3 palette, some how I have managed to resisted purchasing this beautiful rose gold palette, but I can feel myself cracking when my blog feed is full of reviews and swatches.

3.Clarisonic Mia, I am really trying to take care of my skin at the moment and so many people have told me there skin was so much clearer after using this. Of course again in pink, I see a recurring theme here.
4. Nars Turkish delight lip gloss, I think this looks like a really pretty baby pink toned gloss.

5.Laura Mercier creme brulee souffle body cream. Every time I walk past a Laura Mercier counter I find myself sniffing at the divine array of creams and this particular scent smells like a dream and I need this in my life.

6. Neom candle. I love candles and have never owned a Neom candle and constantly reading blog posts with these in the background has convinced me I need to see what all the hype is about.

7. Orgins drink me up mask, recently at a bloggers chat I asked for skin care recommendations to get my skin in tip top condition for my wedding, and this overnight mask was the most recommended product. My boot points are rather high at the moment so I think this mask will be in possession very soon, watch this blog space (see what I did there).

8.Diptyque Eau Duelle perfume, this scent has been popping up quite a bit recently in posts and YouTube videos and this vanilla blend fragrance sounds like the perfect perfume for me, just a shame about the hefty price tag. Its my birthday in a week so who knows (family if you are reading hint hint).

9. Tom ford lipstick, these lipsticks look like pure lip stick luxury and I am desperate to add a bit of of the TF elegance into my lipstick collection. My signature shade is a nude pink, so if anyone has any recommendations please let me know in the comment section.

10. Finally another candle, for the same reasons as Neom candles, I blame fellow bloggers for my desire for a Jo Malone candle.

So there is it just some of the things I would love to purchase, but I will keep trying my hardest not too. Although writing this post was pure torture because I have just reminded myself why I want/ need these products in my life. (of course I am being totally dramatic and I am will of course be absolutely fine without another candle or lip product in my life, but a girl can dream.)

What's my face worth TAG

Hi everyone hope you all had a lovely weekend. Going to skip the rambling introduction and just jump straight in to this post.

I have seen this how much is your face worth tag on numerous blogs recently and thought it might be interesting to see just how much my face is worth. Saying that I also think it might make me want to cry a little bit. I am going to base this on my weekend day time look so not a full on night out look but a bit more then I would wear in the week to work. So eek here goes.....

1. First off I start with foundation, ( yes naughty blogger I am not using primer at the moment simply because I have ran out and my Christmas budget just won't allow it right now.) Laura Mercierr Silk Creme foundation at £33 (certainly one of my more expensive foundations but I do love it).

2. Then I move onto my Mac light boost highlighter, which I use to highlight my under eye, nose, forehead and a little in my chin. This costs £17.

3. Next I use my collection concealer on any breakouts or blemishes. This is a bargain product at £3.99.

4. Then I move on to contouring and bronzing. Slightly excessive but I use two at the moment. I use Mac eyeshadow in charcoal brown which cost me £10 for the hollows of my cheeks and down my nose to create definition. Then I use Benefit Hoola for am also over bronzer to warm up my face this cost me £23.50

5. For blush I am currently using a Bourjouis
Blush pot in Rose Gold which cost me £7.99.

6. Then I use Rimmel stay matte powder to set my make up, this is another bargain buy at £3.99.

7. Then my brows to define and fill in my brows I use my beloved Benefit Browzing
which cost £23.50 I finish my brows with
8. Then for my eye shadow I currently loving using my Mac eye shadows. I am using brûlée for a base, naked lunch across the outer lid and satin taupe through the outer corners. They cost £10 each so that's an eye watering £30 on my eye shadow eek.

9. Next l liner I am using a Maybelline Master Precise Liquid EyelinerThis costs £5.99Then I use Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Liner on my water line which cost £3.99.

10. Then mascara again I use two L'Oreal telescopic in carbon black for £10.99 and the maybeline the falsies which cost £7.99.

11. Then finally for lips I am using Mac lip stick in creme cup which cost £14 and NYX lipgloss in beige over the top which cost £6.00

Phewwwww so my total is..drumroll please £207.92 Wow that a lot more then I expected, especially when that's a good mixture of high end and height street make up,  oops! The worst part is that my actual make up collection is probably 10 times the size if this...I really need to cut back on the spending.

I TAG all my fellow bloggers to have a go at this post and see how much your face is worth!

Thank for reading lovelies

Empties

Hi Everyone, so today I thought I would share with you some hair, make up , skin and body products I have used up, what I thought about them and if I would repurchase.

Pro- Voke Touch of Silver Shampoo

I have been using this purple shampoo for years and its my favorite shampoo for my blonde hair, I use it twice a week ( anymore can damage your hair and give it purple, grey tones). You don't need to much of the product as it lathers up really well. This tone correcting shampoo leaves my hair looking really white blonde and removes any horrible yellow brassy toned, which is never a good look. For the £3.00 price tag it is a bargain.
Would you repurchase? Yes already have a new one in my shower.

Aussie  3 minute miracle shine conditioner
This conditioner left my hair feeling soft, conditioned and smelling really nice. However having blonde hair I didn't find it made my hair shine in anyway, but with my bleach blonde locks I should have expected that.
I think this would work well on brunettes for achieving the shine result.
Would you repurchase? No, purely because of my hair type

Body shop, banana shampoo and conditioner.
This collection had a mixture of fruity scents and honey mixed with the banana, and I loved the scent it left on my hair after shampooing and conditioning. Now this is very strange for me because I hate the smell of bananas but I loved this. I think I preferred the shampoo to the conditioner, I just have tired  other conditions I prefer and found they left my hair softer. But I loved the shampoo, as did my fiancé, i noticed he kept using it :p
Would you repurchase,?shampoo yes, conditioner no.

L'oreal elvive crystal sparkling shampoo,
I love loreal products, but this shampoo wasn't for me. It smelt good and I loved the idea of the pearl and micro crystal formulation but it just did nothing for my hair, it actually left it looking slightly greasy. Again I just thing this was wrong for my hair type, I am sure it would work better on darker hair.
Would you repurchase? no

Batiste dry shampoo
I am a big fan of dry shampoo and go through bottles very quickly. Even on days when I have washed my hair I find myself reaching for it, my hair is quite limp and fine and I find a quick spray of dry shampoo really gives my hair body and volume. I have also found this using dry shampoo my helped my hair grow loads, because my hair gets greasy quite easily I had to wash it lots but now I just wash it three or four times a week, so its in much better condition.
Would you repurchase? yes

Bioderma Sensibio H20 - Micelle Solution

now i don't need to go into too much detail about bioderma every blogger and its blog has raved about this product. I got this travel sizes bottle for my last holiday and it was a really handy size, also really good if you just want to try it out. Until now getting hold of bioderma has been a nightmare I got some in Dubai, but other then that I have had to rely on ebay, but finally bioderma has reached the uk. I find this product really gentle and cleansing on my skin and has really calmed my imperfections, defiantly a favorite product in my skin care routine.
Would you repurchase? yes already have but this time gone for the Sebium H2o. I will do review in a few weeks.

Grease lighting, spot treatment from lush
Now I have a love hate relationship with this product. On one hand I find it is really good for getting rid of spots quickly, but it leaves the skin around the spot really dry and flaky, bleughh . So I am torn. But I think for now I will be saying good bye to grease lightening and try and find other alternatives that don't dry up my skin.
Would you repurchase? no not right now.

Lush popcorn lip scrub
I use this lip exfoliated every night and before apply lipstick, I find it leaves my lips really soft and smooth and removes any dry skin. I love the taste of the popcorn flavor too.
Would you repurchase? yes, still have one from a Christmas gift set I got in my lush drawer, yes I have a lush drawer.

Rimmel wake me up foundation
This is one of my favorite drug store foundations, I adore the glowing and dewy finish it leaves on my skin. It applies really easily and smells lovely, defiantly a staple foundation in my collection.
Would you repurchase? yes

Maybelline the falsies mascara
This again is my favorite drug store mascara. It really volumes and separates my lashes amazingly, I love it.
Would you repurchase? yes I always by back ups on the famous boots 3 for 2 offer.

Maybelline dream lumi touch highlighting concealer
I wouldn't use this as a concealer as its very bright but I love this as part of my contouring and highlighting  routine, I use this under my eyes, down my nose and around my forehead (sounds ridiculous I know), I love the bright finished look it gives me. It's very similar to YSL touch éclat but costs less then half the price.
Would I repurchase? yes but right now I am using mac prep and prime for highlight, so after that's all gone.

Benefit heart throb blush.
This blush has lasted me ages, I love the light pink shade of this blush, its very wearable and lasts on my cheeks really well, but it's no longer available, so if anyone can recommend a good alternative please let me know.
Would you repurchase? would if I could, boo

 Aqua Mirabilis lush body butter,
This did a really good job at scrubbing away dry skin and left my skin smooth, this does have a strong nutty almond smell which I really like but might not be to everyone's taste. My only negative about this body butter is it melts quite quickly, I had it in my shower and it shrunk loads, so store in a cool place.
Would you purchase again? yes but not for a while trying out some soap and glory scrubs at the moment.

Phewww, That was a long post, but I hope you found it useful and ejoyed reading, Hope you all hav a lovely Easter weekend, and get lots of Chocolate.

Thanks for reading
