A little Boots haul

So I had one of those shopping trips, that was never meant to be a shopping trip. I had planned to go into town purely to go to the bank. All of a sudden I found myself in the make up aisle in boots and things just seemed to magically appear in my basket. Has this ever happened to you?

In my defence I hadn't been make up shopping in a very long time so a little splurge now and again is acceptable. I may have also made a sneaky little Mac order too, but we will talk about that about her day. Want to see what I bought?

When Real Techniques announced their new brush range this contour brush caught my eye instantly. I love a strong contour and this flat top brush looked like the perfect tool to help create a good contour. It's a very similar shape to the Nars contour brush which has been very hyped up in blogger world. I tried this brush last night and I happy to say it lived  up to it's expectations, it created a strong defined contour on the cheek and really worked my bronzer into the gallows of my cheek. I think this may be my new favourite brush.

Then I picked up this 'kick ass' instant retouch powder from Soap and Glory for £12. I have a confession to make I have never bought any make up from soap and glory, I have always loved the shower gels ect, but I just haven't sampled any of the cosmetics, so this is my first. This yellow based finishing powder was on my list to try because I had seen a few bloggers made comparisons between this and the Ben Nye powder Kim K is famous for using, and this was is a fraction of the price. I love a good highlight so I am looking forward to see if this is any good and at locking my highlighter in place.

Next up I bought a few lip bits from Rimmel. I have always been a pink, nude lip kind of gal, but then Kylie Jenner changed all that, ok forget the size of her lips and lets concentrate on the brown nude lip colour, oh it's so pretty. So I was on the hunt for some products to recreate this look. So I picked up this lasting finish lipstick for £4.99 (bargain) in coffee shimmer, it's a warm neutral brown shade, that has a hint of shimmer, I love this shade and can't wait to wear it. I also picked up two lip pencils, first is from the exaggerated lip range in the shade obsession for £3.99 and then I picked up the lasting finish, 1000 kisses liner in tiramisu, for £2.99. Obsession is a deep muted red berry shade and tiramisu is a dark brown nude with pink tones. I can't wait to try both of these.

I also picked up a Rimmel natural bronzer for £5.99 in shade 22 sun bronze. I have had a few of these in the past and think it's a great matte bronzer for an everyday glow.

Finally a collection lasting finish concealer made it in to my basket. If you haven't hear of this concealer, where have you been hiding may I ask? This concealer is amazing for covering blemishes and imperfections and it's so cheap, every blogger and their blog has raved about this little beauty and for £2.99 can you blame them?

So that's everything I picked up, I can't wait to start trying them all. Thanks for reading.

Spring Fashion Haul

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend, mine has mostly consisted of studying for my open university exams in a few weeks, socialising with friends and family, wedding planning and eating.

So, its been a jammed packed weekend...oh and some how I managed to fit in a spot of shopping, so I am treating you to a little fashion haul.

I didn't buy everything at once,  although it has been known in the past, but I am 'supposed' to be saving at the moment. Anyway  this is a collective haul of a few bits and bobs I have picked up over the last weeks in preparation for my holiday to Dubai next week.

Be prepared for lots of pastels and floral patterns coming your way.

These adorable floral dungarees were £9 from Primark. I saw them the other day in Primark and literally did a little gasp, ran and grabbed them, I just thought they looked so cute and pretty and I think they would go perfectly with a white shirt. Literally cant wait to wear these.

Sticking with the floral theme my next purchase from Primark was this lovely colourful floral shirt. Like the play suit above I just couldn't resit this, its a beautiful minty green shade which is my favourite colour to wear in the spring summer, it a collared shirt which I love and it has flowers, what more could a girl want. This cute shirt cost me £12.

Then I popped these light weight polka dot shorts in my basket. I love polka dots and again I would team this with a shirt or a peter pan collared top. For £5 I couldnt resist and I had to have them for my holiday.

Finally from Primark is this polka dot denim skater dress which cost £12. I love skater style dress they are really comfortable and easy to wear. Again more polka dots, I have worn this a few times already and really like this dress. I feel very Kate Middy in this.

Next up is a lovely blue summer dress from Topshop. I purchased this with a voucher I got for my birthday and I was inspired to buy this by Laura over at buy now blog later. This is a beautiful shade for summer. This dress is slightly too big for me so I would add a brown belt to give it some definition. I cant find this online at the moment but it cost £34.

Now I have a few bits from MissGuided which has quickly become my favourite online shop, there are so many pretty clothes I would love to add to my wardrobe, however I managed to resist and just get a few things.  The first thing I bought was this blue and white mini dress you can find it here. It was £19.99 and I love the pretty pattern on this dress.

Then I got this lemon yellow curve hem skirt, this would go really nicely with a white shirt or vest top. I don't own very much yellow clothing so I am really looking forward to brightening up my summer wardrobe. You can find this skirt here for £14.99.

So I have yet another pastel blue dress, can you see a trend going on in this haul. This blue and white contrast dress will be perfect for my holiday, whether is a day of shopping or a spot of lunch in the sunshine. This dress was a bargain at £19.99, I think dress looks much more then small price tag, there is somethung very Zara like about it, you can get yours here.

Finally from Miss guided is this lilac tailored coat, I have been desperate for a pastel coat for so long now and I instantly fell in love with this beautiful coat, and I got even more excited when I saw it was only £34, most of the long pastel coats I had seen were going to cost me upwards of £70 so for under half the price I was instantly sold, and well its just so pretty. Unfortunately the purple shade is currently out of stock but you can get it in pink or brown here, I am so tempted to purchase the pink shade too, but for now I will resist temptation.

Finally is a really sweet pale pink dress with a white collar from BooHoo. Remember what I was saying about collars? I am literally obsessed. This a great dress for a summer day or with black tights and ballerina pumps for a day in the office. I cant find the orginal dress on the boohoo website, but here is a very similar design.

So there you have it, my spring fashion haul, all ready for my summer holiday. Now I have snapped everything up I off to pack my suit case and hide my bank card somewhere to stop me spending. Wish me Luck.

I <3 Stationary

Ok so I have a weakness when it comes to shopping and spending, and this weekend I had a particular weakness for cute girly stationary. I am such a geek and get so excited about stationary, it's a problem but I love it.

I am currently planning my wedding (I may have mentioned it a couple of times) so I wanted to get a few bits and bobs to organise all my wedding plans and pictures into one place. I am such a perfectionist and hate all my stuff being disordered so I was on an organisation project this weekend, I was a women on a mission.

My mission took me to wilkinson and I fell in love with beau chic stationary range, it's a really cute mint green and baby pink collection with a Paris theme design. I don't know what it is but anything related to Paris I want it, my apartment has got a Paris decor theme going on so this collection caught my eye instantly. The colours are so pretty and feminine and thought they would look so chic on my desk.

So here is what I got:

A5 Beau chic notebook for £1.00

Wilko Beau Chic Ring Binder j'aime Paris Design Multi-Coloured for £1.50

Wilko Beau Chic Writing & Stationary Set for £2.50

Beau chic pencil tin with flowers for £1.50

2x Paris and flowers plastic folder, I can't find these online or my receipt but I think they were less than £1.00

Than I bought some love heart post it notes, my house in covered in post on notes. Finally some coloured sticky tabs.

All together I spend a tiny £9.80 which I think is bargain for all the lovely little things I got, you can your here at http://www.wilko.com/stationery-collections/beau-chic-stationery/icat/beau-chic-stationery

I really love my beautiful finds I think they so cute and pretty and can't wait to start using them, I know I know, I am such a geek.

Let me know if you also get excited about stationary and organisation, hopefully I am not the only one.

Mini Mac Haul

So yes only two posts ago did I say I was saving money but here I am already with a mini haul for you all oops.  In my defence though I was sale shopping/browsing and I had a voucher for Debenhams and I thought this was the perfect opportunity for some pretty Mac purchases. So I didn't actually spend any money...well not in Mac anyway I did find a few bargains in theZara  and Topshop sale!
So on my little spree I decided to pick up the mineralize skin finish in soft and gentle and angel lipstick which are two items that have been on my makeup wish list for a such long time, and seeing as they were both there in stock I just couldn’t resist.
Angel lipstick is a baby pink shade with a hint of silver shimmer. I am big lover of the pink/ nude lip and rarely step away from my signature lip look so this seemed like a good shade to add to my collection, you can never have too many pink lipsticks, right? I had also heard this lipstick is a favourite of Kim Kardashian and yes I know she has a very dramatic look but I adore her flawless make up. This lipstick is a frost formula and I have never actually owned a frost cause I am just not a fan of the shimmery look but when I tried this it was not as cool toned as I had expected , instead added a  subtle, pretty sheen to my lips. So I am looking forward to wearing this, I think this shade will go really well with a dramatic smoky eye.
Then I picked up the much hyped mineralize skin finish in soft and gentle, yet another product that has been on my wish list for so long and I am so excited to try this out properly.  This highlighting powder looks divine in the pan with its gilded peach bronze tone with a twist of champagne silver shimmer. I can’t wait to try this,  the only highlighter I have really got on with is the Sleek highlighter in the past, which is great for a natural day time sheen but I think the glitter particles in soft and gentle will add a bit of sparkle and glamour to an evening look.
I will do a full review on both products once I have tried them out properly. Have you tried either products? If so let me know in the comments below.

Bath and Bodyworks Haul

Good evening ladies (and gentlemen), I hope your having a lovely week. Tonight I wanted to share with you a bit of a haul from Bath and Body works. I am literally obsessed with candles, I always have a couple burning around my flat, I love having an array of scents filling my home. Now before I start, annoyingly they don't have a UK based store, come on bath and body works sort it out! So i have to stock up on my trips to Dubai to see my dad.

Here is a little bit about the famous BBW candles from their website:

The world's best candle guaranteed! Radiates enough fragrance to fill a room. Wax melts consistently & evenly. Flames won't burn out!
Made using the highest concentration of fragrance oils, an exclusive blend of vegetable wax and lead-free wicks for optimal performance.
3-wick candle burns approximately 30 to 45 hours.
Includes elegant silver lid to keep your fave fragrance fresh, while adding a touch of décor

Sounds pretty good eh? I love BBW candles they are my favourite candle brand, Yankee being a close second. I just find them very reasonably priced and smell incredible. So enough chit chat, here is what I picked up from the summer collection.

I bought 3 of the larger three wick candles they are normally $20, so around £12.50 and they quite often have deals on so you can get them a bit cheaper. On this occasion these were buy two get one free so of course I had to get three. The first was an eye catching bright orange peach Bellini candle. The scent is described as classic Italian cocktail with a twist which mixes bubbly white peach, tart blackcurrant, jasmine and a splash of juicy orange. It really smell does good enough to eat, but I won't don't worry!!

The second candle I picked up was Paris Amour, this a more floral fragrance and I was instantly attracted to this romantic infusion, the scent is described as a blend of French tulips and apple blossoms tickled with notes of sparkling pink champagne. Sounds like the perfect summer night fragrance.

The final three wick candle I bought was Twilight Woods. This was another floral based scent which is so unlike me as I normally sway towards fruity or vanilla sweet scents. But this just smelt so good I couldn't resist. The scent is described as hypnotic blend of apricot nectar, sweet mimosa petals and Tuscan cypress.

I also bought some fragrance plugs for my wall flowers, I know there are plenty of fragrance plugs available in the UK, I just find these wall flowers are so strong you can smell them as soon as you walk into the room. This time I got sweet pea and honey suckle. So a nice mix of floral and sweet smells. These cost $3 so that only £1.88 a bulb and they literally last around 6 weeks, so an absolute bargain.

Finally I bought myself some soap. I am a bit of a germ freak and always carry anti bacteria gel in my bag. So these mini pocket sized anti-bac tubes are perfect for a clean freak like me. Again they are very cheap at $1.75 so that a tiny £1.09, and look really cute with the colourful formula and packaging. I went for the Paris Amore scent and the strawberry scent. I also got a full sized bottle of the foaming hand soap which smells incredible and the scent lasts on your hands for hours.

So there it is my bath and body works haul, I love all my purchases I just wish they were available here in the UK. I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know if you have tried any BBW products? Let me know what you think if you have tried any.
